Section 22-11A-23 Any person believed exposed to diseases to be tested; any person believed
afflicted shall seek and accept treatment. Any person who the state or county health officer
has reason to believe has been exposed to any of the diseases designated under this article
shall be tested. Any person who the state or county health officer has reason to believe is
afflicted with any of the diseases designated under this article shall seek and accept treatment
at the direction of the health officer or a physician licensed to practice medicine in Alabama.

required to report for treatment; costs; compulsory treatment and quarantine. (a) Any person
where there is reasonable cause to believe has a sexually transmitted disease or has been

Section 22-11A-17 Testing of correctional facility inmates for sexually transmitted diseases;
treatment; discharge of infectious inmates; victim may request results of HIV testing. (a)
All persons sentenced to confinement or imprisonment in any city or county jail or any state
correctional facility for 30 or more consecutive days shall be tested for those sexually transmitted
diseases designated by the State Board of Health, upon entering the facility, and any inmate
so confined for more than 90 days shall be examined for those sexually transmitted diseases

(a) If the juvenile court finds on proof beyond a reasonable doubt, based upon competent,
material, and relevant evidence, that a child committed the acts by reason of which the child
is alleged to be delinquent or in need of supervision, it may proceed immediately to hear
evidence as to whether the child is in need of care or rehabilitation and to file its findings
