Section 20-1-5 Penalty for violations of chapter or orders, rules, or regulations. Any person who violates any of the provisions of this chapter or any order, rule, or regulation made or promulgated under authority of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500) for each offense; provided, however, that any violation of Section 20-1-27(3) or (4) involving 200 units or more of beverage products shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding five thousand dollars ($5,000). For purposes of this section, the term unit shall mean a single, discreet beverage package, or container.
