Section 2-11-9 Bonds of employees and inspectors. The commissioner may require any employee or agent and any inspector licensed under this article to execute and file with him a good and sufficient bond, payable to the state, in such sum, not exceeding $1,000.00, and with such surety or sureties as he may prescribe, conditioned upon the faithful performance by such employee, agent or licensed inspector of his duties as such employee, agent or licensed inspector, such bond to be filed in the office of the commissioner. Any person injured by the failure of such employee, agent or licensed inspector faithfully to perform such duties shall be entitled to institute a civil action on such bond in his own name in any court of competent jurisdiction for the recovery of such damages as he may have sustained by reason of such failure.
