Section 36-26-38 Political activities prohibited. (a) No person shall be appointed or promoted
to or demoted or dismissed from any position in the classified service or in any way favored
or discriminated against with respect to employment in the classified service because of his
political or religious opinions or affiliations. No person shall seek or attempt to use any
political endorsement in connection with any appointment to a position in the classified service.
No person shall use or promise to use, directly or indirectly, any official authority or influence,
whether possessed or anticipated, to secure or attempt to secure for any person an appointment
or advantage in appointment to a position in the classified service or an increase in pay

Section 45-49-120.06 Personnel board. (a)(1) The personnel board shall consist of five members
designated respectively as Member 1, Member 2, Member 3, Member 4, and Member 5, each of whom
shall be over 19 years of age, of recognized good character and ability, a qualified elector
of Mobile County, and shall not, when appointed nor for three years then next preceding the

Section 34-21-2 Board of Nursing generally. (a) There is created the Board of Nursing, which
shall be composed of 13 members to be appointed and have the duties and powers enumerated
in this section. The membership of the board shall be inclusive and reflect the racial, gender,
geographic, urban/rural, and economic diversity of the state. In order to insure continuity
of administration, the nine board members provided for by Section 3 of Act 427, Regular Session

License Plate Advisory Committee. (a) Upon application to the judge of probate or license
commissioner, compliance with motor vehicle registration and licensing laws, payment of regular

and payment of an additional fee of fifty dollars ($50), owners of motor vehicles who are
residents of Alabama shall be issued distinctive "Support The Arts" license tags

Section 34-5-13 Board of Barber Examiners. There is hereby created the Alabama Board of Barber
