Section 40-18-402 Renewal of Alabama Commission. (a) There is hereby created the Renewal of
Alabama Commission. (b) The commission shall be comprised of all of the following persons:
(1) The Director of Finance, or his or her designee. (2) The Secretary of Commerce, or his
or her designee. (3) The Chair of the House Ways and Means Education Committee, or its successor
committee, if any, or his or her designee. (4) The Chair of the Senate Finance and Taxation
Education Committee, or its successor committee, if any, or his or her designee. (5) Three
persons appointed by the Governor, at least one of whom shall be a resident of an area of

Section 16-6A-16 Plan for in-service education centers; governing boards; requirements of centers;
school systems to affiliate with centers. (a) A comprehensive plan shall be established by
the Governor's Educational Reform Commission and implemented for the development and location
of in-service education centers for the purpose of providing rigorous in-service training

Section 36-25-4.2 State Ethics Commission - State Ethics Law training programs. (a) At the
beginning of each legislative quadrennium, the State Ethics Commission shall provide for and
administer training programs on the State Ethics Law for members of the Legislature, state
constitutional officers, cabinet officers, executive staff, municipal mayors, council members
and commissioners, county commissioners, and lobbyists. (1) The training program for legislators
shall be held at least once at the beginning of each quadrennium for members of the Legislature.
An additional training program shall be held if any changes are made to this chapter, and
shall be held within three months of the effective date of the changes. The time and place
of the training programs shall be determined by the Executive Director of the State Ethics
