Section 11-99B-7 Powers of district generally; power of district to acquire and operate projects;
provisions in schedules of rates and charges generally. Each district shall have the following
powers, together with all powers incidental thereto or necessary to the discharge thereof
in corporate form: (1) To have succession by its corporate name for the duration of time,
which may be in perpetuity, subject to the provisions of Section 11-99B-15, specified in its
certificate of incorporation. (2) To sue and to be sued in its own name in civil actions,
and to defend civil actions against it; provided, that the district shall be deemed to be

Section 24-1-22 Definitions. The following terms, wherever used or referred to in this article,
shall have the following respective meanings, unless a different meaning clearly appears from
the context: (1) AUTHORITY or HOUSING AUTHORITY. A public body organized as a body corporate

Section 16-65-6 Bonds generally. (a) Issuance of bonds. The authority is authorized and empowered
to issue its bonds from time to time for the purpose of making equipment loans to finance
equipment costs incurred or to be incurred by educational institutions. Such bonds may be

Compact. The Emergency Medical Services Personnel Licensure Interstate Compact is hereby enacted
into law and entered into with all other jurisdictions legally joining therein in form substantially

and ensure accountability for patient care related activities all states license emergency
medical services (EMS) personnel, such as emergency medical technicians (EMTs), advanced EMTs

Section 23-7-6 Funding; pledge of revenues. (a) The following sources may be used to capitalize
the bank and for the bank to carry out its purposes: (1) An annual contribution, as determined
