Section 16-22-4.1 Education employee liability insurance; self-insurance. (a) For the purposes
of this section, the following terms shall have the following meanings: (1) CERTIFICATED PERSONNEL.
Full-time teachers, principals, and other education employees employed by a local board of
education and required to hold a certificate issued by the State Superintendent of Education.
(2) LOCAL BOARD OF EDUCATION. A city or county board of education, the Board of Trustees of
the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind, the Alabama Youth Services Board in its capacity
as the Board of Education for the Youth Services School District, the Board of Directors of
the Alabama School of Fine Arts, and the Board of Directors of the Alabama School of Mathematics
and Science. (3) STUDENT TEACHER. A college or university student in an education degree program
who, as part of the degree program, is assigned to teach in a local public school classroom,

Section 16-23-7 Institutes - Conduct; duration; character of instruction. As a means of stimulating
the improvement of teachers in service in the public schools of the state, institutes shall
be held annually, one or more in each county or for a group of counties, at such times and

Section 32-6-3 Examination prior to application for license or renewal. (a) Every person who
applies for an initial Alabama driver's license issued by the Department of Public Safety
under this article shall be given and successfully pass an examination before the issuance

Section 15-20A-27 Juvenile sex offender - Community notification. (a) In determining whether
to apply notification requirements to a juvenile sex offender, the sentencing court shall
consider any of the following factors relevant to the risk of re-offense: (1) Conditions of
release that minimize the risk of re-offense, including, but not limited to, whether the juvenile
sex offender is under supervision of probation, parole, or aftercare; receiving counseling,
therapy, or treatment; or residing in a home situation that provides guidance and supervision.

Section 40-23-35 Disposition of revenues from tax. (a) Such amount of money as shall be appropriated
for each fiscal year by the Legislature to the Department of Revenue with which to pay the

Section 15-20A-17 Adult sex offender - Loitering in certain areas; requirements for entering
K-12 school property or attending K-12 school events. (a)(1) No adult sex offender, after
having been convicted of a sex offense involving a minor, shall loiter on or within 500 feet
of the property line of any property on which there is a school, childcare facility, playground,
park, athletic field or facility, school bus stop, college or university, or any other business
or facility having a principal purpose of caring for, educating, or entertaining minors. (2)
Under this subsection, loiter means to enter or remain on property while having no legitimate
purpose or, if a legitimate purpose exists, remaining on that property beyond the time necessary
