Section 32-13-2 Removal of motor vehicles; liability; lien on vehicles removed; notice. (a)
A law enforcement officer or, in a Class 1 municipality, a parking enforcement officer or
traffic enforcement officer who is not required to be certified by the Alabama Peace Officers'
Standards and Training Commission, may cause a motor vehicle to be removed to the nearest
garage or other place of safety under any of the following circumstances: (1) The motor vehicle
is left unattended on a public street, road, or highway or other property for a period of
at least 48 hours. (2) The motor vehicle is left unattended because the driver of the vehicle
has been arrested or is impaired by an accident or for any other reason which causes the need
for the vehicle to be immediately removed as determined necessary by a law enforcement officer.

Section 13A-7-4.1 Criminal trespass by motor vehicle. (a) A person commits the offense of criminal
trespass by motor vehicle when the person, after having been requested not to do so by a uniformed
law enforcement officer or by a properly identified owner or an authorized agent of the owner,
parks or stands an occupied or unoccupied motor vehicle in, or repeatedly drives a motor vehicle
through or within, a parking area which is located on privately owned property and is provided

Section 32-9B-6 Teleoperation systems; Remote driver of vehicle considered its operator; license
to operate; accidents. (a) Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, a commercial
motor vehicle equipped with a teleoperation system may operate without a conventional driver
physically present in the vehicle if a remote driver is operating the vehicle. (b) When a
remote driver is operating a commercial motor vehicle, the remote driver is considered to
be the operator of the vehicle for the purpose of assessing compliance with applicable traffic
or motor vehicle laws, including the rules of the road, and for the purpose of any charge
for a violation of Title 13A or this title. Extradition of a person charged pursuant to this

Section 23-1-278 Enforcement of division generally. (a) Any sign erected or maintained in an
adjacent area after February 10, 1972, and any outdoor advertising sign, display, or device
erected with the purpose of its message being read from the main-traveled way of any interstate
highway or primary highway outside of an urban area and beyond 660 feet of the right-of-way
after April 11, 1978, in violation of the provisions of this division or the rules and regulations
promulgated under the provisions of this division may be removed by the director upon 30 days'
prior notice by certified or registered mail to the owner thereof and to the owner of the
land on which said sign is located or through court proceedings at the option of the director.

Section 37-15-10.2 Violations; complaints; dispute and hearing; judicial review. (a) Any person
who violates this chapter may be reported to the authority for the alleged violation. (b)
The board shall develop and implement a process for the receipt of a complaint of a violation
of this chapter. The complaint must be made no later than 30 days after the known occurrence
of the violation. A complaint may be filed as information only and designated not to be pursued
under the enforcement provisions. (c) Upon receipt of a complaint of a violation of this chapter,

Section 32-8-84 Unclaimed motor vehicles; suspension of registration of stolen or converted
vehicles. (a) The following shall be considered an unclaimed motor vehicle: (1) A motor vehicle
left unattended on a public road or highway for more than 48 hours. (2) A motor vehicle, not
left on private property for repairs, that has remained on private or other public property
for a period of more than 48 hours without the consent of the owner or lessee of the property.
(3) A motor vehicle, left on private property for repairs, that has not been reclaimed within
48 hours from the latter of either the date the repairs were completed or the agreed upon
