Section 16-26A-4 Board of directors generally. (a) There is hereby created a board of directors for the school, sometimes hereinafter referred to as the "board." The board shall be composed of 21 members as follows: (1) The State Department of Education assistant state superintendent in charge of curriculum development, or his or her designee. Section 25-5-13 Applicability of chapter. (a) This chapter shall be applicable to the employees of all counties and all municipalities having populations greater than 2,000 according to the most recent federal decennial census, and shall govern in their employment. This chapter shall be applicable also to the employees of all county and city boards of education, the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind, and all employees of the two-year colleges under the control of the State Board of Education, and shall govern in their employment. There is hereby created the Flexible Employees Benefit Board, which shall consist of a state employee appointed by the Executive Director of the Alabama State Employees Association, the members of the State Personnel Board, and the Director of Finance.
