Section 15-20A-5 Sex offenses. For the purposes of this chapter, a sex offense includes any
of the following offenses: (1) Rape in the first degree, as provided by Section 13A-6-61.
(2) Rape in the second degree, as provided by Section 13A-6-62. A juvenile sex offender adjudicated
delinquent of a violation of rape in the second degree is presumed to be exempt from this
chapter after the juvenile has been counseled on the dangers of the conduct for which he or
she was adjudicated delinquent unless the sentencing court makes a determination that the
juvenile sex offender is to be subject to this chapter. (3) Sodomy in the first degree, as
provided by Section 13A-6-63. (4) Sodomy in the second degree, as provided by Section 13A-6-64.

Section 38-9F-6 Sworn petition for relief on behalf of elderly person. (a) If a plaintiff lacks
the physical or mental capacity to seek protection for himself or herself, the following may
file a sworn petition for relief on behalf of the plaintiff: (1) A court appointed guardian.
The petition must include a copy of the court order appointing the petitioner as the plaintiff's

Section 15-20A-42 Collection and dissemination of information by Alabama State Law Enforcement
Agency. (a) Any jurisdiction or agency responsible for registering a sex offender shall immediately
forward all required registration information and any changes to the required registration
information received to the Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency in a manner determined by
the Secretary of the Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency and promulgated in rule by the secretary
upon recommendation of an advisory board consisting of representatives of the office of the

Section 16-1-51.1 Comprehensive model policy for supervision and monitoring of juvenile sex
offender students; educational placement of juvenile sex offenders. (a)(1) On or before January
1, 2019, the State Board of Education shall develop a comprehensive model policy for the supervision
and monitoring of juvenile sex offender students, who have a low risk of re-offense and are
enrolled, attending class, and participating in school activities with the general population
of students. The purpose of the model policy is to provide a safe and secure environment for

Section 13A-5-53.1 Appeals of capital punishment. (a) Rule 32.2(c) of the Alabama Rules of
Criminal Procedure shall not apply to cases in which a criminal defendant is convicted of
capital murder and sentenced to death, and files a petition for post-conviction relief under
the grounds specified in Rule 32.1(a), (e), or (f) of the Alabama Rules of Criminal Procedure.

Section 38-9-6 Protective placement or other protective services. (a) An interested person
may petition the court to order protective placement or other protective services for an adult
in need of protective services. No protective placement or other protective services may be
ordered unless there is a determination by the court that the person is unable to provide
for his or her own protection from abuse, neglect, exploitation, sexual abuse, or emotional

sufficient, property specifically devised is not used to satisfy rights to homestead and exempt

Section 15-20A-48 Relation to other laws. (a) For the purposes of Sections 13A-5-2, 13A-5-6,
14-9-41, 15-18-8, 15-22-27.3, or any other section of the Code of Alabama 1975, a criminal

Section 15-20A-43 Registration and notification requirements mandatory. (a) Except as provided
in Sections 15-20A-5, 15-20A-16, 15-20A-23, 15-20A-24, 15-20A-25, 15-20A-34 or the former

Section 26-2A-113 Petition to compel visitation. (a) A relative may file a petition with the
court to compel visitation with a ward from whom he or she has been isolated. (b) The petition
shall be filed in the court having jurisdiction over the guardianship of the ward. (c) On
motion of either the petitioner or the guardian or the court, the petition shall be transferred
