Section 15-13-202 License required; examination; continuing education. An individual may not
hold himself or herself out to the public as a professional bondsman, operate as a recovery
agent, or use any term, title, or abbreviation that expresses, infers, or implies that the
individual is licensed as a professional bondsman unless the individual at the time holds
a valid license as a professional bondsman as provided in this article. All applicants shall
pass an examination, unless exempted by this article, based on criteria established by the
Alabama Professional Bail Bonding Board and established under Section 15-13-203 and shall

Section 15-13-217 Examination; continuing education; certification; costs and fees. (a) A professional
bondsman or recovery agent commencing business in any judicial circuit in this state on and
after June 1, 2020, shall attend a 12-hour instructional course conducted by an educational
provider approved by the board and pass an examination approved by the board and administered
by an educational provider approved by the board. Upon completion of the course and passage
of the examination, the individual shall be awarded an initial examination certificate by
the board, copies of which may be submitted to the presiding circuit judge, or other judicial

Section 34-11-8 Renewal of certificates; expired licenses; inactive status; retirement. (a)
The board, by rule, shall establish a procedure for renewing certificates of licensure on
an annual or a biennial basis. It shall be the duty of the board to notify every licensee
under this chapter of the expiration of the license and the fee required for the renewal.
The board shall establish the renewal fee for each certificate of licensure which shall not
exceed two hundred dollars ($200) for annual renewal or four hundred dollars ($400) for biennial
renewal. (b) No licensee shall have his or her license renewed unless, in addition to any
other requirements of this chapter, the minimum annual or biennial continuing professional

Section 34-27A-19 Continuing education requirements; regulations; requirement for reinstatement.
(a) As a prerequisite to renewal of a license to appraise real estate, the licensed real estate
appraiser, licensed for any classification under this article, shall present evidence satisfactory
to the board of having met the continuing education requirements of this article. (b) The

Section 34-24-165 Renewal, suspension, retirement, etc., of license; waiver of fees; inactive
license. (a) Every license to practice chiropractic or permit to own a chiropractic practice
shall be subject to renewal on September 30 of the year for which it is issued with a grace

Section 34-41-5 Powers of board. (a) The board shall elect from its membership a chair, a vice
chair, and a secretary-treasurer. The board shall adopt rules to govern its proceedings. A

Section 34-29-61 Definitions. For the purposes of this article, the following terms shall have
the following meanings ascribed by this section: (1) ACCREDITED SCHOOL OF VETERINARY MEDICINE.
