Section 45-4-244.20 County sales tax to parallel state tax; exemptions; collection and disposition
of funds; enforcement. (a) All words, terms, and phrases that are defined in Article 1 of
Chapter 23 of Title 40 shall, where used in this section have the meanings respectively ascribed
to them in Article 1 except where the context herein clearly indicates a different meaning.
In addition, the following words, terms, and phrases where used in this section shall have
the following respective meanings except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:
(1) STATE SALES TAX STATUTES. Article 1 of Chapter 23 of Title 40, which levies a retail sales
tax for state purposes, and includes all statutes, heretofore enacted, which expressly set

heretofore enacted which expressly apply to, or purport to affect, the administration of Article

Section 25-5-77 Expenses of medical and surgical treatment, vocational rehabilitation, medicine,

Section 34-24-125 Chiropractic agreements. (a) For the purposes of this section, the following
words shall have the following meanings: (1) CHIROPRACTOR. A person licensed to practice chiropractic

Section 25-5-57 Compensation for disability. (a) Compensation schedule. Following is the schedule
of compensation: (1) TEMPORARY TOTAL DISABILITY. For injury producing temporary total disability,
the compensation shall be 66 2/3 percent of the average weekly earnings received at the time
of injury, subject to a maximum and minimum weekly compensation as stated in Section 25-5-68,
but if at the time of injury the employee received average weekly earnings of less than the
minimum stated in Section 25-5-68, then he or she shall receive the full amount of the average
