specified in subsection (b) whose jurisdiction is in the circuit or district court of the
Third Judicial Circuit may apply to the District Attorney of the Third Judicial Circuit for
admittance to the pretrial diversion program. (b) A person charged with any of the following
offenses may apply for the program: (1) A traffic offense, other than driving under the influence

Section 45-49-43.11 Property held for inspection or examination. The property of the kind described
in Section 45-49-43 shall be held in the same form, shape, or condition in which they were
purchased, without mutilation, melting, reduction to block or lump form, or destruction of
the form thereof, for a period of 86 hours after the hour when the licensee reports the purchase
to the chief of police or sheriff, during which time the article or articles shall be open

Section 13A-11-90 Restrictions on firemarms by employers. (a) Except as provided in subdivision
(b), a public or private employer may restrict or prohibit its employees, including those
with a permit issued or recognized under Section 13A-11-75, from carrying firearms while on
the employer's property or while engaged in the duties of the person's employment. (b) A public
or private employer may not restrict or prohibit the transportation or storage of a lawfully
possessed firearm or ammunition in an employee's privately owned motor vehicle while parked

Section 15-23-4 Alabama Crime Victims Compensation Commission - Created; composition; meetings;
rules and regulations; bond; compensation. (a) There is hereby created the Alabama Crime Victims
Compensation Commission, which shall be composed of three citizens of the State of Alabama,
who shall be appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate, for terms

Section 40-18-19.2 Exemption of certain death benefit payments for peace officer or fireman
killed in line of duty. (a) Effective for the 2006 state income tax year and each year thereafter,
any death benefit payments listed in subsection (e) that are paid to the designated beneficiary
of a peace officer or fireman killed in the line of duty, as determined by the awarding authority,
shall be exempt from any state income tax. (b) For purposes of this section, the terms peace
officer and fireman are defined in the same manner as provided in Section 36-30-1. For purposes
of this section, the term awarding authority shall mean an entity or body authorized by law
