Section 45-9-82.22 Applicants for admittance. (a) A person charged with a criminal offense specified in this section whose jurisdiction is in the Circuit or District Court of the Fifth Judicial Circuit may apply to the District Attorney of the Fifth Judicial Circuit for admittance to the pretrial diversion program. (b) A person charged with any of the following offenses may apply for the program: (1) A traffic offense. (2) A property offense. (3) An offense wherein the victim did not receive serious physical injury. (a) All municipalities are hereby authorized to provide by ordinance for the taking up and storing of abandoned and stolen personal property found within the corporate limits or outside the corporate limits but within the police jurisdictions and to sell the same in the manner provided in subsection (b) of this section. Section 3-6A-4 Sworn statement; dangerous dog investigation; hearing; procedures. (a)(1) When a person claims that a dog is dangerous, the person shall make a sworn statement before a city magistrate or sheriff setting forth the name of the dog owner, if known, the location where the dog is being kept in the city or county, and the reason he or she believes the dog to be dangerous.
