Section 13A-6-42 Unlawful imprisonment in the second degree. (a) A person commits the crime of unlawful imprisonment in the second degree if he restrains another person. (b) A person does not commit a crime under this section if: (1) The person restrained is a child less than 18 years old, and (2) The actor is a relative of the child, and (3) The actor's sole purpose is to assume lawful control of the child. (a) A person commits the crime of violation of a domestic violence protection order if the person knowingly commits any act prohibited by a domestic violence protection order or willfully fails to abide by any term of a domestic violence protection order. (a) The words retired military veteran as used in this section, unless the context clearly requires a different meaning, means only those persons who are retirees from active duty in the Army, or the Navy, or the Marine Corps, or the Air Force, or the Coast Guard of the United States or any reserve or National Guard component thereof.
