Section 19-3B-103 Definitions. In this chapter: (1) ACTION, with respect to an act of a trustee,
includes a failure to act. (2) ASCERTAINABLE STANDARD means a standard relating to an individual's
health, education, support, or maintenance within the meaning of Section 2041(b)(1)(A) or
2514(c)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as in effect on January 1, 2007, or as later
amended. (3) BENEFICIARY means a person that: (A) has a present or future beneficial interest
in a trust, vested or contingent; or (B) in a capacity other than that of trustee, holds a
power of appointment over trust property. (4) CHARITABLE TRUST means a trust, or portion of
a trust, created for a charitable purpose described in Section 19-3B-405(a). (5) CONSERVATOR
means a person appointed by the court to administer the estate of a minor or adult individual.
(6) ENVIRONMENTAL LAW means a federal, state, or local law, rule, regulation, or ordinance

Section 13A-11-70 Definitions. For the purposes of this division, the following terms shall
have the respective meanings ascribed by this section: (1) PISTOL. Any firearm with a barrel
less than 12 inches in length. (2) CRIME OF VIOLENCE. Any of the following crimes or an attempt
to commit any of them, namely, murder, manslaughter, (except manslaughter arising out of the
operation of a vehicle), rape, mayhem, assault with intent to rob, assault with intent to
ravish, assault with intent to murder, robbery, burglary, and kidnapping. "Crime of violence"
shall also mean any Class A felony or any Class B felony that has as an element serious physical

Section 22-19-161 Definitions. In this article: (1) "Adult" means an individual who
is at least 18 years of age. (2) "Agent" means an individual: (A) authorized to
make health care decisions on the principal's behalf by a power of attorney for health care;
or (B) expressly authorized to make an anatomical gift on the principal's behalf by any other
record signed by the principal. (3) "Anatomical gift" means a donation of all or

Section 13A-10-15 Terrorist threats. (a) A person commits the crime of making a terrorist threat
when he or she credibly, based on an objective evaluation, threatens to commit a crime of
violence against a person or to damage any property by use of a bomb, explosive, weapon of
