Section 45-37A-270.21 Definitions. For the purposes of this subpart, the following terms shall have the following meanings: (1) APPLICATION FEE. A one-time administrative fee imposed by the City of Irondale as a condition precedent to participation in a pretrial diversion program. (2) CITY PROSECUTOR. The person or persons charged with the responsibility of prosecuting cases in the City of Irondale Municipal Court or any legal staff employed by the city prosecutor. (3) LAW ENFORCEMENT. As defined in subdivision (1) of Section 41-8A-1. (4) LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER. As defined in subdivision (15) of Section 36-25-1, whether employed in the State of Alabama or elsewhere. Section 15-22-54 Period of probation; termination of probation; violation of terms of probation; sanctions. (a) The period of probation or suspension of execution of sentence shall be determined by the court and shall not be waived by the defendant, and the period of probation or suspension may be continued, extended, or terminated. However, except as provided in Section 32-5A-191 relating to ignition interlock requirements, in no case shall the maximum probation period of a defendant guilty of a misdemeanor exceed two years, nor shall the maximum probation period of a defendant guilty of a felony exceed five years, except as provided in Section 13A-8-2.1. Section 17-11-10 Procedure upon receipt of ballot by absentee election manager; counting of ballots. (a) Upon receipt of the absentee ballot, the absentee election manager shall record its receipt thereof on the absentee list as provided in Section 17-11-5 and shall safely keep the ballot without breaking the seal of the affidavit envelope.
