Section 36-25-27 Penalties; enforcement; jurisdiction, venue, judicial review; limitations
period. (a)(1) Except as otherwise provided, any person subject to this chapter who intentionally
violates any provision of this chapter other than those for which a separate penalty is provided
for in this section shall, upon conviction, be guilty of a Class B felony. (2) Any person
subject to this chapter who violates any provision of this chapter other than those for which
a separate penalty is provided for in this section shall, upon conviction, be guilty of a
Class A misdemeanor. (3) Any person subject to this chapter who knowingly violates any disclosure
requirement of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be guilty of a Class A misdemeanor. (4)
Any person who knowingly makes or transmits a false report or complaint pursuant to this chapter
shall, upon conviction, be guilty of a Class A misdemeanor and shall be liable for the actual

Section 11-65-10 Powers and duties of commission. When authorized by one or more elections
as provided in Section 11-65-4, a commission shall have the powers and duties necessary to
license, regulate, and supervise horse racing and pari-mutuel wagering thereon and greyhound
racing and pari-mutuel wagering thereon within the commission municipal jurisdiction, including,

Section 34-1A-7 Licenses - Required. (a) Effective January 1, 1998, it shall be unlawful for
any person or business entity to engage in a business regulated by this chapter in this state
without a current valid license or in violation of this chapter and applicable rules and regulations
of the board. (b) Effective January 1, 1998, it shall be unlawful for a person or business

Section 25-5-57 Compensation for disability. (a) Compensation schedule. Following is the schedule
of compensation: (1) TEMPORARY TOTAL DISABILITY. For injury producing temporary total disability,
the compensation shall be 66 2/3 percent of the average weekly earnings received at the time
of injury, subject to a maximum and minimum weekly compensation as stated in Section 25-5-68,
but if at the time of injury the employee received average weekly earnings of less than the
minimum stated in Section 25-5-68, then he or she shall receive the full amount of the average
weekly earnings per week. This compensation shall be paid during the time of the disability,
but at the time as a temporary total disability shall become permanent, compensation for the
continued total disability shall be governed by (a)(4) of this section with respect to permanent
