Section 41-10-541 Definitions. (a) The following words and phrases used in this division, and others evidently intended as the equivalent thereof, shall, in the absence of clear implication herein otherwise, be given the following respective interpretations herein: (1) APPROPRIATED FUNDS. Net TVA payments to the extent such payments are pledged and appropriated to the authority pursuant to Section 41-10-550. (2) AUTHORITY. The public corporation organized pursuant to this division. Section 16-25-11.9 Purchase of credit for employment as court reporters, school support personnel, or local mental health authority workers. (a) Any active and contributing member of the Teachers' Retirement System of Alabama who, prior to October 1, 1993, was a regular full-time employee as an official court reporter with a circuit court in the state or a full-time employee of a local mental health authority or school support personnel, shall be eligible to receive credit for such employment provided that the member claiming the credit shall have worked not less than 10 consecutive years as an official court reporter, and complies with the conditions prescribed in subsection (b). Section 5-5A-44 Acquisition of majority of voting shares of a bank; procedure. (a) No person, acting directly or indirectly or through or in concert with one or more persons, may acquire control of a state bank or of any corporation or other entity having control of a state bank, unless an application is filed with the superintendent for review of the proposed transaction and for his or her action, if any, as provided in this section. Section 25-4-75 Extension of benefit period. (a) Applicability of section. Notwithstanding any other provisions of this chapter, the duration of benefits as provided in Section 25-4-74 shall be extended as provided in this section. (b) Definitions. As used in this section, unless the context clearly requires otherwise, the following terms shall mean: (1) EXTENDED BENEFIT PERIOD. A period which: a.
