Section 11-22-1 Definitions. For the purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall have the respective meanings ascribed by this section: (1) CORPORATION. Any corporation organized pursuant to the provisions of this chapter. (2) COUNTY. Any county in this state with respect to which a corporation may be organized. (3) GOVERNING BODY. Section 40-2B-2 Alabama Tax Tribunal. (a) Statement of Purpose. To increase public confidence in the fairness of the state tax system, the state shall provide an independent agency with tax expertise to resolve disputes between the Department of Revenue and taxpayers, prior to requiring the payment of the amounts in issue or the posting of a bond, but after the taxpayer has had a full opportunity to attempt settlement with the Department of Revenue based, among other things, on the hazards of litigation. Section 12-17-226.8 Fees. (a) An offender may be assessed an administration fee when he or she is approved for a pretrial diversion program established under this division. The amount of the fee for participation in the program shall be in addition to any court costs, assessments for crime victim's compensation fund, Department of Forensic Sciences assessments, drug, alcohol, or anger management treatments required by law, restitution, or costs of supervision or treatment.
