Section 45-40-81.03 Jail and courthouse. (a) In addition to any court costs and fees now or hereafter authorized in Lawrence County, the Lawrence County Commission may impose by resolution of the commission an additional fee in an amount not to exceed thirty-five dollars ($35) to be assessed and taxed as costs on each civil case and on each criminal case, including traffic cases, but excluding small claims cases, filed in the circuit court, district court, or any municipal court in Lawrence County, as well as an additional fee not to exceed five dollars ($5) for the service of a pleading or other document in connection with any action or case. Section 36-18-32 DNA Database Fund. (a) There is hereby established a special fund to be known as the Alabama DNA Database Fund. (b) The fund shall be placed under the management or administration of the Director of the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for the exclusive purposes of implementing the provisions of this article.
