Section 11-98-3 The digits 911 established as primary emergency telephone number. It has been
shown to be in the public interest to shorten the time required for a citizen to request and
receive emergency aid. The provision of a single, primary three-digit emergency number through
which emergency services can be quickly and efficiently obtained will provide a significant
contribution to law enforcement and other public service efforts by simplifying the notification
of public service personnel. Such a simplified means of procuring emergency services will
result in the saving of life, a reduction in the destruction of property, quicker apprehension
of criminals, and ultimately the saving of moneys. Establishment of a uniform emergency number

Section 34-29-61 Definitions. For the purposes of this article, the following terms shall have
the following meanings ascribed by this section: (1) ACCREDITED SCHOOL OF VETERINARY MEDICINE.
Any veterinary college or division of a university or college that offers the degree of doctor
of veterinary medicine or its equivalent and is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical
Association (AVMA). (2) ANIMAL. Any animal or mammal other than man, including birds, fish,

Section 11-98-6 Disposition of funds. (a) Funds received by a district pursuant to Section
11-98-5.2 shall be used to establish, operate, maintain, and replace an emergency communication
system that, without limitation, may consist of the following: (1) Telephone communications

that the number of students attending the several school systems located in those areas of
North Alabama that will be directly impacted by the 2005 BRAC and Subsequent BRAC Actions

this section, the following words have the following meanings: (1) DENTAL HOME. The dental
home is the ongoing relationship between the dentist and the patient, inclusive of all aspects
