Section 45-41A-10.01 Definitions. The following words and phrases used in this part, and others
evidently intended as the equivalent thereof shall in the absence of clear implication herein
otherwise, be given the following respective interpretations herein: (1) APPLICANT. A natural
person who files a written application with the governing body of the city in accordance with
Section 45-41A-10.03. (2) AUTHORITY. The Auburn Downtown Redevelopment Authority, a public

Section 11-32-3 Incorporation as a public corporation; applications. (a) One or more public
corporations may be organized pursuant to this chapter in a county having a population of
not less than 600,000 according to the last or any subsequent federal decennial census. Once
incorporated under or governed by this chapter, each corporation shall continue to be subject
to this chapter, even if the population of the county falls below 600,000. In order to incorporate

Section 37-13-2 Authority and procedure to incorporate. Pursuant to this chapter, authorities
may be organized as public corporations with the powers herein set forth. To organize an authority,
no fewer than three natural persons shall file with the governing body of any one or more
counties, cities, or towns within this state in which there are located railroad properties
and facilities, an application in writing for permission to incorporate a public corporation

Section 16-17A-4 Articles of incorporation - Requirements. (a) In addition to any other matters
relating to the authority that the sponsoring university may choose to insert and that are
not inconsistent with state law, the articles of incorporation of an authority shall include

Section 11-32-2 Definitions. As used in this chapter, the following words and phrases shall
mean the following unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) AD VALOREM TAX. Those
real and personal property ad valorem taxes collected by the county tax collector, the director

Section 4-3-44 Certificate of incorporation - Amendment. The certificate of incorporation of
an authority may be amended to change or modify any provision or to add any provision which
could have been included in the original certificate of incorporation. The amendment shall
be effected in the following manner: The certificate of amendment shall be signed and acknowledged

Section 11-47-217 Boards of directors of authorities. (a) Each authority shall have a board
of directors composed of the number of directors provided in the certificate of incorporation,
as most recently amended. Unless provided to the contrary in its certificate of incorporation,
all powers of the authority shall be exercised, and the authority shall be governed by the
