Section 11-91A-5 Meetings; quorum; reimbursement of expenses; board as body corporate. (a) The organizational meeting of the board shall be set no later than October 1, 2014, by the Chief Executive Officer of the SEIB. The first order of business at the organizational meeting shall be the election of a chair and vice chair by majority vote of the membership of the board. The Chief Executive Officer of the SEIB shall call the meeting to order and preside only until the chair and vice chair are elected. Thereafter, the board shall annually elect a chair and vice chair by majority vote of the membership of the board, provided that any chair or vice chair may be re-elected and serve successive terms as chair or vice chair. (b) A majority of the members of the board shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business and each member shall be entitled to one vote on all matters. Section 40-27-1 Compact adopted; terms. The following Multistate Tax Compact is hereby approved, adopted and enacted into law by the State of Alabama: Multistate Tax Compact Article I. Purposes. The purposes of this compact are to: 1. Facilitate proper determination of state and local tax liability of multistate taxpayers, including the equitable apportionment of tax bases and settlement of apportionment disputes. 2. Section 11-92B-7 Board of directors. (a) The authority shall operate under the direction of a board of directors which shall consist of voting members selected as follows: (1) One member appointed by the Governor. (2) Five members appointed by the governing body of each municipality whose corporate limits lie in whole or in part within the operational area of the authority. Section 45-49A-83 Prichard Communication Authority. (a) There is created the Prichard Communication Authority. (b)(1) The authority shall be governed by a board of directors consisting of five members who shall be appointed by the mayor. Vacancies on the board shall be appointed by the mayor.
