Section 32-7-2 Definitions. For the purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall have
the meanings respectively ascribed to them in this section, except in those instances where

Section 32-7A-4 Liability insurance required. (a) No person shall operate, register, or maintain
registration of, and no owner shall permit another person to operate, register, or maintain
registration of, a motor vehicle designed to be used on a public highway unless the motor
vehicle is covered by a liability insurance policy, a commercial automobile liability insurance
policy, motor vehicle liability bond, or deposit of cash. (b)(1) The liability insurance policy

Section 6-5-549 Standard of proof shall be proof by substantial evidence; scintilla rule of
evidence abolished; instruction to jury. In any action for injury or damages or wrongful death,
whether in contract or in tort, against a health care provider based on a breach of the standard
of care, the minimum standard of proof required to test the sufficiency of the evidence to

Section 6-5-755 Recovery; contribution. (a) In an action against a manufacturer and one or
more other defendants, including other manufacturers, for death or injury to person or damage
to property arising out of an accident, the right of the plaintiff to recover jointly and

Section 34-24-56 Report of malpractice judgments and settlements - Filing; contents; sanction
for failure to make report. (a) Every physician or surgeon who holds a license, certificate,
or other similar authority issued under the provisions of this article and every professional
