Section 32-9A-2 Compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations; in-service training by law enforcement officers. (a)(1) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (b), no person may operate a commercial motor vehicle in this state, or fail to maintain required records or reports, in violation of the federal motor carrier safety regulations as prescribed by the U.S. Department of Transportation, 49 C.F.R. Part 107, Parts 171-180, Parts 382-387, and Parts 390-399 and as they may be amended in the future. Except as otherwise provided herein, this chapter shall not be construed to repeal or supersede other laws relating to the operation of motor vehicles. (2)a. Section 45-37A-53 Abatement of weeds. (a) All weeds growing upon private property within municipalities of the state having a population of 300,000 inhabitants or more, according to the last or any subsequent federal census, which bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature or attain such a large growth as to become a fire menace when dry, or which are otherwise noxious or dangerous, may be declared to be a public nuisance by the governing body of any such municipality, and thereafter abated as in this section provided. (b) Whenever any such weeds are growing upon any private property, the governing body of any such municipality may, by resolution, declare the same to be a public nuisance. Section 15-18-175 Eligibility; exclusion; sentencing. (a) An offender who meets one of the following minimum criteria shall be considered eligible for punishment in the community under this article: (1) Persons who, without this option, would be incarcerated in a correctional institution or who are currently incarcerated in a correctional institution. Section 11-99-4 Creation of tax increment districts and approval of project plans. In order to exercise its powers under this chapter, a public entity shall take the following steps: (1) The local governing body shall hold a public hearing at which all interested parties are afforded a reasonable opportunity to express their views on the concept of tax increment financing, on the proposed creation of a tax increment district and its proposed boundaries, and its benefits to the public entity.
