Section 11-22-1 Definitions. For the purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall have
the respective meanings ascribed by this section: (1) CORPORATION. Any corporation organized
pursuant to the provisions of this chapter. (2) COUNTY. Any county in this state with respect
to which a corporation may be organized. (3) GOVERNING BODY. The county commission. (4) MORTGAGE.
A mortgage or a mortgage and deed of trust. (5) PROJECT. Any land or any interest therein,
including forests, rivers, streams, waterways, and lakes, and any buildings or other improvements

Section 11-60-2 Legislative intent; construction of chapter generally. (a) It is the intention
of the Legislature by the passage of this chapter to promote the public health and general
welfare by authorizing the incorporation in the several municipalities in this state of public

Section 45-42-243.30 Financing construction of public buildings. (a) In order to provide funds
for financing the cost of public buildings, the Limestone County Commission is hereby authorized
by resolution to levy and provide for the assessment and collection of sales and use taxes,
which shall be in addition to any and all other county taxes heretofore or hereafter authorized
by law in such county. The sales or use tax levied pursuant to this section shall parallel,
except for the rate of tax, the sales and use taxes imposed by the state under Title 40. Any
sales or use tax levied pursuant to this section on any automotive vehicle, truck trailer,
