Section 23-1-301 Definitions. When used in this article, the following words and phrases shall have the following respective meanings unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) AUTHORITY. The Alabama Federal Aid Highway Finance Authority, a public corporation and instrumentality of the state authorized to be organized under the provisions of this article. (2) BOARD OF DIRECTORS. The board of directors of the authority. (3) BONDS. Section 41-10-60 Disposition of proceeds from sale of bonds and refunding bonds. Section 16-16-10 Disposition of proceeds of bonds. (a) The proceeds of all bonds, other than refunding bonds, issued by the authority remaining after paying expenses of their issuance shall be deposited in the State Treasury and shall be carried in the State Treasury in a special or separate account.
