Section 45-49-90.01 Purpose; liberal construction. (a) It is the intent of the Legislature
by the passage of this part to authorize the incorporation in Mobile County of public corporations
to acquire, enlarge, improve, replace, own, lease, and dispose of properties to the end that
such corporations may be able to develop land as sites for industrial parks in Mobile County
which shall be deemed to include the provision of water, sewage, drainage, transportation,
and other similar facilities which are incidental to the use of land as an industrial park,
including easements and rights of way for public utilities providing power and communication
services, but shall not be deemed to include the provision of structures or buildings other
than structures or buildings related to the provision of water, sewage, drainage, transportation,

Section 11-89-1 Definitions. When used in this chapter, the following words and phrases shall
have the following meanings, respectively, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:
(1) APPLICANT. A natural person who files a written application with the governing body of
any county or municipality or public corporation or cooperative in accordance with the provisions
of Section 11-89-3. (2) AUTHORIZING RESOLUTION. A resolution, adopted by a governing body

Section 11-95-2 Definitions. The following words and phrases used in this chapter, and others
evidently intended as the equivalent thereof, shall, in the absence of clear implication herein
otherwise, be given the following respective interpretations herein and shall, except where

Section 16-13-300 Legislative intent; construction. (a) It is the intention of the Legislature
by the adoption of this article to authorize each county board of education and each city
board of education in the State of Alabama to issue and sell, at public or private sale, upon
the prior written approval of the State Superintendent of Education, warrants payable from,
and secured by a pledge of, revenues of such board which are lawfully available and are designated

Section 45-45-21 Regulation of sale of alcoholic beverages on Sunday. (a)(1) This section only
applies to Madison County. (2) This section applies to the sale of alcoholic beverages on
Sunday by retail licensees of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board of Alabama. (b)(1) The
governing body of any municipality within the county, by ordinance adopted by a simple majority,
