Section 41-23-85 Functions of board and division. (a) The board shall exercise authority with
respect to all matters pertaining to the acceptance and adoption, and implementation of the
Alabama Energy and Residential Codes by the State of Alabama. In so doing, the board may perform
any of the following functions: (1) Review, amend, and adopt the Alabama Energy and Residential
Codes. The board shall consider updates and changes to the codes referenced herein no less
than two years after the date of publication of the most recent version of the codes. (2)
Evaluate, assess, advise, and counsel the division and the units of local government, on residential

Section 9-17-101 Liquefied Petroleum Gas Board - Creation; composition; meetings; rules and
regulations. (a) There is created and established the Alabama Liquefied Petroleum Gas Board.
The board shall be composed of eight members: The State Fire Marshal; the state Director of
Public Safety; the President of the Alabama Public Service Commission; four members who are
representatives of the liquefied petroleum gas retail Class A permit holders; and one member

Section 11-51-90 Municipal business licenses; branch offices; application. (a) All municipalities
shall have the following powers: (1) To license any exhibition, trade, business, vocation,
occupation, or profession not prohibited by the Constitution or laws of the state which may
be engaged in or carried on in the municipality. (2) To fix the amount of licenses, the time
for which they are to run, not exceeding one license year, to provide a penalty for doing
business without a license, and to charge a fee not exceeding ten dollars ($10) for issuing

for public inspection; insurance; blasting plan. (a) Each application for a surface coal mining
reclamation permit under this article shall be accompanied by a fee as determined by the regulatory
authority, but not to exceed the anticipated cost of reviewing, administering, and enforcing
the permit. In no event shall the permit fee be less than one thousand dollars ($1,000). The
