Section 40-2B-2 Alabama Tax Tribunal. (a) Statement of Purpose. To increase public confidence in the fairness of the state tax system, the state shall provide an independent agency with tax expertise to resolve disputes between the Department of Revenue and taxpayers, prior to requiring the payment of the amounts in issue or the posting of a bond, but after the taxpayer has had a full opportunity to attempt settlement with the Department of Revenue based, among other things, on the hazards of litigation. Section 11-19-14 Approval of plats of subdivision before recordation - Procedure for approval, etc. The county planning commission shall act to approve or disapprove a subdivision plat within 30 days after its submission; otherwise, such plat shall be deemed to have been approved and a certificate to that effect shall be issued by the county planning commission on demand; provided, however, that the applicant for the commission's approval may waive this requirement and consent to an extension of such period.
