Section 45-31-120.17 Procedure for protesting certain disciplinary action. (a) An employee
shall have the right to protest any disciplinary action taken against him or her by his or
her appointing authority; provided, however, an employee serving by temporary appointment
and an employee having probationary status shall have no right to protest any such disciplinary
action, unless such employee had permanent status in some other position at the time he or
she was appointed to his or her present position. Any employee desiring to protest any disciplinary
action directed against him or her by his or her appointing authority shall file a protest
in writing with the board and with his or her appointing authority within not less than seven

Section 13A-11-61.3 Regulation of firearms, ammunition, and firearm accessories. (a) The purpose
of this section is to establish within the Legislature complete control over regulation and
policy pertaining to firearms, ammunition, and firearm accessories in order to ensure that
such regulation and policy is applied uniformly throughout this state to each person subject
to the state's jurisdiction and to ensure protection of the right to keep and bear arms recognized

Section 22-14-14 Penalty for violation of article or rules, regulations or orders; notice of

Section 22-28-23 Local air pollution control programs. (a) Except as provided in this section,
it is the intention of this chapter to occupy by preemption the field of air pollution control
within all areas of the State of Alabama. However, nothing in this section shall be construed
to limit or abrogate any private remedies now available to any person for the alleviation,
abatement, control, correction, or prevention of air pollution or restitution for damage resulting

proceedings under this chapter either on its own motion or on the complaint of any person.
