Section 45-28A-41.24 THIS SECTION WAS ASSIGNED BY THE CODE COMMISSIONER IN THE 2019 REGULAR
SESSION, EFFECTIVE APRIL 6, 2018. THIS IS NOT IN THE CURRENT CODE SUPPLEMENT. (a) The election
to elect the initial members of the board of education shall be held at a special election
called by the Gadsden City Council as soon as practicable. The next election to elect the
members of the board of education shall be held at the same time as the election to elect
the members of the Gadsden City Council in 2022, and every four years thereafter. (b) The
initial election and the initial runoff election, if necessary, and all subsequent elections
held pursuant to this subpart shall be conducted, the vote canvassed, and the results declared
in the same manner as provided for the election of members of the city council, unless otherwise

Section 16-11-3 Election; terms of office; vacancies. Annually at the regular meetings of the
city council or commission in April the council or commission shall elect a member or members
of the board of education to succeed those whose term or terms of office expire that year.
Members of the city board of education shall assume office at the next regular meeting of
the city board of education in June following their appointment. The terms of office of members
of the city board of education shall be five years, and the term of one member shall expire
annually. A member shall serve on the board until his or her successor assumes office. In
the event of a vacancy in the membership of the city board of education by resignation or
otherwise, the fact shall be reported to the city council or commission by the board, and
the council or commission shall elect a person to fill the vacancy for the unexpired term.

Section 45-26A-60 Tallassee Board of Education. (a) There is hereby established a school board
for the City of Tallassee, Alabama, which board shall be called the Tallassee Board of Education.
The members of such board shall be elected by vote of the qualified electors of the City of
Tallassee, Alabama, as hereinafter provided. The board shall be composed of seven members,

Section 45-25-91 DeKalb County Economic Development Authority. (a) There is created the DeKalb
County Economic Development Authority. The authority is created for the purpose and has the
