Section 8-1A-2 Definitions. As used in this chapter, each of the following words have the following meanings: (1) AGREEMENT. The bargain of the parties in fact, as found in their language or inferred from other circumstances and from rules, regulations, and procedures given the effect of agreements under laws otherwise applicable to a particular transaction. (2) AUTOMATED TRANSACTION. A transaction conducted or performed, in whole or in part, by electronic means or electronic records, in which the acts or records of one or both parties are not reviewed by an individual in the ordinary course in forming a contract, performing under an existing contract, or fulfilling an obligation required by the transaction. (3) COMPUTER PROGRAM. A set of statements or instructions to be used directly or indirectly in an information processing system in order to bring about a certain result. (4) CONSUMER. Section 34-24-140 Board of Chiropractic Examiners - Creation; composition; powers and duties. (a) There is created and established a State Board of Chiropractic Examiners. The board shall be composed of nine members. Eight members of the board shall be active licensed chiropractors elected as provided in this section. Seven of the elected members shall be elected one from each congressional district in this state except as otherwise provided in Section 34-24-141. Section 6-5-691 Definitions. For the purposes of this article, the following terms shall have the following meanings: (1) ASBESTOS ACTION. A civil action arising out of, based on, or related to the health effects of exposure to asbestos and any derivative claim made by or on behalf of a person exposed to asbestos or a representative, spouse, parent, child, or other relative of that person.
