Section 41-29-291 Composition. (a) The Alabama Workforce Council shall consist of the following members: (1) Fourteen members appointed by the Governor. (2) One member appointed by the Lieutenant Governor. (3) One member appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives. (4) One member appointed by the President Pro Tempore of the Senate. (5) The Deputy Secretary of the Workforce Development Division of the Department of Commerce shall be an ex officio member of the council, but shall have no voting rights. (a) Pursuant to Amendment 678 of the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, there is created and established the Chambers County Industrial Development Council on September 1, 2001.
