Section 34-24-297 Issuance of license - Requirements. The following constitutes the requirements for the issuance of a license to practice as an assistant to physician: (1) Provide evidence, satisfactory to the board, of successful completion of a training program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) or the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or their successor agencies. (a) The issuance by the commission of a special purpose license to practice medicine or osteopathy across state lines subjects the licensee to the jurisdiction of the board and the commission in all matters set forth in Sections 34-24-50 to 34-24-83, inclusive, and Sections 34-24-310 to 34-24-406, inclusive, and the implementing rules and regulations of the commission and the board, including all matters related to discipline.
