Section 11-65-5 Composition of commission; terms; qualifications; removal from office. (a) Every commission shall have five members, which shall constitute its governing body. All powers of a commission shall be exercised by its members or pursuant to their authorization. The mayor or other chief executive officer of the sponsoring municipality and the president or other designated presiding officer of the county commission of the host county shall each serve as a member ex officio, unless such official exercises his or her right, as provided in subsection (b), to appoint a fixed-term member to serve in lieu of such official. The service of each such official as a member shall begin with the beginning of his or her tenure in such office and shall end with the ending of such tenure or the appointment by such official of a fixed-term member to serve in lieu of his or her ex officio service. (a) The party states hereby create and establish a joint public entity known as the Interstate Commission of Nurse Licensure Compact Administrators. Section 34-14A-7 Applications for issuance or renewal of license; records; inactive license. (a) Any residential home builder who desires to receive a new or renewal license under this chapter shall make and file with the board 30 days prior to the next meeting of the board a written application on a form prescribed by the board. Each applicant shall be a citizen of the United States or, if not a citizen of the United States, a person who is legally present in the United States with appropriate documentation from the federal government. Section 34-27-36 Disciplinary action - Generally. (a) The commission or its staff may on its own, or on the verified complaint in writing of any person, investigate the actions and records of a licensee. The commission may issue subpoenas and compel the testimony of witnesses and the production of records and documents during an investigation.
