Section 28-7A-6 Board authorized to inspect, examine and audit books and records of wholesaler
licensees and retail sellers of alcoholic beverages. The board shall have the authority to
inspect, examine and audit the books and records of any wholesaler licensee who sells, stores
or receives for the purpose of distribution, any alcoholic beverages, to verify the proper
filing and to determine the accuracy of any state or local tax return required to be filed
by the wholesaler, and to determine the payment of all state and local taxes when and where
due with respect to any state or local tax levied on alcoholic beverages by statute. In pursuance
of said authority, the board shall have the further authority to inspect, examine and audit
the books and records of any person, firm, corporation, club or association who sells at retail

Section 28-3-7 Persons, firms, etc., receiving, storing, selling or handling alcoholic beverages
to preserve invoices, books, papers, etc., relating thereto; audit and inspection of invoices,
books, etc., by board. It shall be the duty of every person, firm, corporation, club or association
of persons, receiving, storing, selling or handling alcoholic beverages enumerated in this
chapter in any manner whatsoever to keep and preserve all invoices, books, papers, cancelled

Section 28-1-4 Delivery of alcoholic beverages to persons, corporations, etc., within state
by out-of-state manufacturers, suppliers, etc. (a) The words and phrases used in this section
shall have the meanings ascribed to them in Section 28-3-1 and any acts amendatory thereof,
supplementary thereto or substituted therefor. (b) It shall be unlawful for common or permit
carriers, operators of trucks, buses or other conveyances or out-of-state manufacturers or
suppliers to make delivery of any alcoholic beverage from without the State of Alabama to
any person, association or corporation within the state, except to the Alabama Alcoholic Beverage
Control Board and to manufacturers, importers, wholesalers and warehouses licensed by the
Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board to receive the alcoholic beverages so delivered.
(c) Any violation of subsection (a) of this section shall be a misdemeanor, punishable as

Section 28-10-8 License fee. There is hereby imposed on each licensee of the board who is licensed
and applies for certification as a responsible vendor for the sale of alcoholic beverages

Section 45-37-20 Issuance and regulation of liquor licenses. (a)(1) As used in this section,
the following words and terms have the meanings hereby ascribed to them: a. ABC LAW. Chapter

Section 34-24-503 Effect of license. (a) The issuance by the commission of a special purpose
license to practice medicine or osteopathy across state lines subjects the licensee to the
jurisdiction of the board and the commission in all matters set forth in Sections 34-24-50
