Section 31-13-27 Verification of citizenship and immigration status of students enrolling in
public schools; annual reports; disclosure of information. (a)(1) Every public elementary
and secondary school in this state, at the time of enrollment in kindergarten or any grade
in such school, shall determine whether the student enrolling in public school was born outside
the jurisdiction of the United States or is the child of an alien not lawfully present in
the United States and qualifies for assignment to an English as Second Language class or other
remedial program. (2) The public school, when making the determination required by subdivision
(1), shall rely upon presentation of the student's original birth certificate, or a certified

Section 27-1-22 Uniform prescription drug information card or technology. (a) Every health
benefit plan that provides coverage for prescription drugs or devices, or administers a plan,
including, but not limited to, third party administrators for self-insured plans and state
administered plans, excluding the Alabama Medicaid Program, shall issue to its insureds a
card or other technology containing prescription drug information. The uniform prescription

Section 27-29-6.2 Group-wide supervisor for internationally active insurance group. (a)(1)
The commissioner may act as the group-wide supervisor for any internationally active insurance
group in accordance with this section. The commissioner may otherwise acknowledge another

Section 27-12-21 Proceedings on unfair competition, etc., not defined under chapter - Generally.
(a) Whenever the commissioner has reason to believe that any person engaged in the business
of insurance is engaging in this state in any method of competition, or in any act or practice
in the conduct of such business which is not defined in this trade practices law, that such
method of competition is unfair or that such act or practice is unfair or deceptive and that
a proceeding by him in respect thereto would be to the interest of the public, he may issue

as promptly as possible, but in no event later than three business days from a determination

the commissioner may require fingerprints of applicants and to submit the fingerprints and
the fee required to perform the criminal history record checks to the Alabama Department of

(a) Any state agency, state department, or public entity required to supply paper copies of
annual reports and other documents and materials to members of the Legislature shall develop
and implement an alternative method of distribution and publication. (b) The alternative method
shall include each of the following components: (1) Notice provided to each member of the
