Compact is hereby enacted into law and entered into by the State of Alabama with any and all

The State Department of Education, or other public authorized employer responsible for hiring
employees who will have unsupervised access to children in an educational setting, shall request
through the State Department of Education, that the Department of Public Safety secure from

Section 16-22A-3 Definitions. When used in this chapter only, the following terms shall have

Section 26-10A-19 Investigation. (a) A pre-placement investigation shall be made to determine
the suitability of each petitioner and the home in which the adoptee will be placed. The investigation
shall include a criminal background investigation and any other circumstances which might
be relevant to the placement of an adoptee with the petitioners. A copy of the pre-placement
investigation shall be filed with the court when the petition for adoption is filed. (b) An

Section 36-1A-5 Participation limited to voluntary, charitable, health and human care federations
and agencies with a substantial local presence. (a) Participation in the Alabama State Employee
Combined Charitable Campaign shall be limited to voluntary, charitable, health and human care
federations and agencies with a substantial local presence that provide or support direct
health and welfare services to individuals or their families and meet the criteria set forth
in this section. "Substantial local presence" is defined as a facility, staffed
by professionals or volunteers, available to provide its services and open at least 15 hours
