Section 22-28-10 Powers of commission generally; advisory committees. In addition to other powers conferred on it by law, the commission shall have power to: (1) Hold hearings relating to any aspect of or matter in the administration of this chapter and, in connection therewith, compel the attendance of witnesses and the production of evidence through subpoena, as provided in this chapter; (2) Issue such orders as may be necessary to effectuate the purposes of this chapter and enforce the same by all appropriate administrative and judicial proceedings; (3) Require access to records relating to emissions which cause or contribute to air contamination; (4) Secure necessary scientific, technical, administrative and operational services, including laboratory facilities, by contract or otherwise; (5) Prepare and develop a comprehensive plan or plans for the prevention, abatement and control of air pollution in this state; (6) Encourage voluntary cooperation by persons and affected groups to...

Section 22-30D-5 Alabama Drycleaning Environmental Response Trust Fund. (a) There is hereby created the Alabama Drycleaning Environmental Response Trust Fund, hereinafter referred to as the "fund." The fund as so created shall be administered and used by the board as a drycleaning industry self-insurance program for the benefit of those persons electing to be covered by this chapter within the time(s) specified in accordance with the provision of this chapter and as a revolving fund for carrying out the purposes of this chapter. To the fund shall be credited all registration fees collected by the Department of Revenue, which monies shall be credited to the fund pursuant to this chapter and invested as permitted by law by the State Treasurer for the benefit of the fund. Section 34-23-90 Authority; composition. (a) The Alabama State Board of Pharmacy is vested with the authority to carry out the purposes of and enforce this chapter. Section 34-9-8 Dental facility teaching permits; dental facility special teaching permits. (a) The board shall annually issue dental faculty teaching permits to persons who are bona fide members of the faculty of a dental college, if they hold a dental degree but are not licensed and registered to practice dentistry or dental hygiene in the state.
