Section 16-6D-9 Tax credit claims; administrative accountability; verification of requirements; rules and procedures. (a)(1) An individual taxpayer who files a state income tax return and is not claimed as a dependent of another taxpayer, a taxpayer subject to the corporate income tax levied by Chapter 18 of Title 40, an Alabama S corporation as defined in Section 40-18-160, or a Subchapter K entity as defined in Section 40-18-1 may claim a credit for a contribution made to a scholarship granting organization. Section 16-6D-4 Definitions. For the purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall have the following meanings: (1) ACADEMIC YEAR. (a) There are exempted from the provisions of this division and from the computation of the amount of the tax levied, assessed, or payable under this division the following: (1) The gross proceeds of the sales of lubricating oil and gasoline as defined in Sections 40-17-30 and 40-17-170 and the gross proceeds from those sales of lubricating oil destined for out-of-state use which are transacted in a manner whereby an out-of-state purchaser takes delivery of such oil at a distributor's plant within this state and transports it out-of-state, which are otherwise taxed. Section 16-25-7 Certain persons employed by Alabama High School Athletic Association. (a) All persons now employed on a full-time basis in an administrative or clerical capacity by the Alabama High School Athletic Association may become members of the Teachers' Retirement System of Alabama within 90 days after October 1, 1967, subject to such rules and regulations as may be promulgated by the Board of Control of the Teachers' Retirement System of Alabama.
