Section 45-40-90 Creation; composition; promulgation of rules; funding. (a) There is created
the Lawrence County Community Development Commission which shall be authorized to receive
and by majority vote to distribute any funds in the Community Development Fund created herein
for the purposes of promoting economic development including, but not limited to, water and
sewer needs and paying the principal and interest on bonds issued for economic development,
education, recreation, conservation, fire protection, and disaster relief. Not less than 40
percent of all funds distributed from the Community Development Fund shall be earmarked and

Section 45-49-91.16 Certificate of compliance for land use. Whenever the board has adopted
a master plan for the district, no street, square, park, or other public way ground or open
space, public building or structure, or public utility, whether privately or publicly owned,
shall be constructed or authorized in the district until the location, character, and extent
thereof has been submitted to and approved by the board. The board may require an application
fee be paid by any person, business, or other entity submitting plans to the board for approval.
However, any fee required may not exceed the actual costs of processing the application, including
review by the board and county commission, or both, and provided that the proceeds from any

Section 2-27-2 Definitions. For the purposes of this article, unless otherwise indicated, the
following terms shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section: (1)
PESTICIDE. a. Any substance or mixture of substances intended for preventing, destroying,

Section 26-10-22 Definitions. As used in this article, the following words shall have the following
meanings unless the context indicates otherwise: (1) ADOPTION SUBSIDY. A money payment, services,

Section 9-12-231 Nets and similar devices permitted in salt and brackish waters. (a) The following
nets or similar devices may be used in Alabama salt and brackish waters: (1) A landing net,
which is a net commonly used to land fish while hook-and-line fishing. (2) A dip or crab net,
