Section 11-43B-28 Powers generally. (a) The municipality shall have all powers granted to municipal corporations and to cities by the Constitution, code and laws of this state, together with all the implied powers necessary to carry out and execute all the powers granted, as well as any other powers and duties which may heretofore or hereafter be granted to such municipality and which are not inconsistent with this chapter. (b) The city may acquire property within or without its corporate limits for any purpose, in fee simple or any lesser interest or estate, by purchase, gift, devise, lease, or condemnation, and may sell, lease, mortgage, hold, manage and control such property as the interest may require. Section 11-61A-13 Bonds. (a) The authority may issue and sell its interest-bearing revenue bonds for any corporate purpose at any time or times. (a) There is created a statewide 911 Board comprised of 13 members that shall reflect the racial, gender, geographic, urban/rural, and economic diversity of the state.
