Section 11-89-7 Powers of district generally; power of district to acquire, operate, etc.,
systems, etc., outside service area; provisions in schedules of rates and charges generally.
(a) The district shall have the following powers, together with all powers incidental thereto
or necessary to the discharge thereof in corporate form: (1) To have succession by its corporate
name for the duration of time (which may be perpetuity, subject to the provisions of Section
11-89-17) specified in its certificate of incorporation; (2) To sue and be sued in its own
name in civil actions, except as otherwise provided in this chapter, and to defend civil actions

Section 11-92C-4 Procedure to incorporate; contents and execution of certificate of incorporation.
(a) Within 40 days following the adoption of the authorizing resolution, the applicants shall
proceed to incorporate the authority by filing for record in the office of the judge of probate
of the county in which the proposed local redevelopment area is located a certificate of incorporation
which shall comply in form and substance with the requirements of this section and which shall
be in the form and executed in the manner provided in this section. (b) The certificate of
incorporation of an authority shall state all of the following: (1) The names of the persons

Section 25-5-8 Employers' options to secure payment of compensation. (a) Option to insure risks.
An employer subject to this chapter may secure the payment of compensation under this chapter
by insuring and keeping insured his or her liability in some insurance corporation, association,
organization, insurance association, corporation, or association formed of employers and workers
