Section 22-22A-5 Powers and functions of department; representation of department by Attorney
General in legal actions. In addition to any other powers and functions which may be conferred
upon it by law, the department is authorized beginning October 1, 1982 to: (1) Administer
appropriate portions of Sections 9-7-10 through 9-7-20, which relate to permitting, regulatory
and enforcement functions; administer and enforce the provisions and execute the functions
of Chapter 28 of this title; Chapter 22 of this title; Article 2 of Chapter 23 of this title;
Chapter 30 of this title; appropriate portions of Article 1 of Chapter 27 of this title; Sections
22-24-1 through 22-24-11; Sections 22-25-1 through 22-25-15; and Sections 22-36-1 through
22-36-10. (2) Acting through the Environmental Management Commission, promulgate rules, regulations,

from liability for the underlying obligation except to the extent that the state government
realizes final payment of the underlying obligation in cash or the equivalent. If final payment
is not made by the credit card issuer or other guarantor of payment in the credit card transaction,
then the underlying obligation shall survive and the state government shall retain all remedies
for enforcement which would have applied if the credit card transaction had not occurred.
No contract may modify the provisions of this subsection. This subsection shall not make the
underlying obligor liable for any discount or administrative fees paid to a credit card issuer

Section 10A-10-1.15 Merger. (a) For purposes of this section, the following words shall have

Section 21-1-17 Bureau of Information for aid of blind or deaf; powers and duties of Adult

Section 17-4-33 Computerized statewide voter registration list. (a) The State of Alabama shall
provide, through the Secretary of State, a nondiscriminatory, single, uniform, official, centralized,
