Section 22-22A-5 Powers and functions of department; representation of department by
Attorney General in legal actions. In addition to any other powers and functions which may
be conferred upon it by law, the department is authorized beginning October 1, 1982 to: (1)
Administer appropriate portions of Sections 9-7-10 through 9-7-20, which relate to permitting,

Section 34-21-2 Board of Nursing generally. (a) There is created the Board of Nursing,
which shall be composed of 13 members to be appointed and have the duties and powers enumerated
in this section. The membership of the board shall be inclusive and reflect the racial,
gender, geographic, urban/rural, and economic diversity of the state. In order to insure continuity
of administration, the nine board members provided for by Section 3 of Act 427, Regular
Session 1975, shall continue to serve to the completion of the term for which they are serving.
The Governor, within 60 days of January 1, 1984, shall appoint a tenth member who shall be

Section 10A-1-1.03 Definitions. As used in this title, unless the context otherwise
requires, the following terms mean: (1) AFFILIATE. A person who controls, is controlled by,
or is under common control with another person. An affiliate of an individual includes the

Section 25-4-10 Employment. (a) Subject to other provisions of this chapter, "employment"
means: (1) Any service performed prior to January 1, 1978, which was employment as defined
in this section prior to such date and, subject to the other provisions of this section,

Section 33-9-2 Authorization; provisions. The Governor, on behalf of this state, is
hereby authorized to execute a compact, in substantially the form as provided hereinafter,
with the State of Mississippi: Article I. The purpose of this compact is to promote the development
of a deep draft harbor and terminal to be located on the continental shelf of the United States,

Section 44-2-24 Authority to enter into agreements; commissioner of department of pensions
and security to approve financial commitments or obligations. The officers and agencies of
this state and its subdivisions having authority to place children are hereby empowered to

Section 34-21-125 Coordinated licensure information system; exchange of information.
(a) All party states shall participate in a coordinated licensure information system of all
licensed registered nurses and licensed practical nurses. This system shall include information
on the licensure and disciplinary history of each nurse, as submitted by party states, to
assist in the coordination of nurse licensure and enforcement efforts. (b) The commission,
in consultation with the administrator of the coordinated licensure information system, shall
