Section 41-4-80 Established; functions and duties. There shall be in the Department of Finance
a division of the budget. The functions and duties of the division of the budget shall be
as follows: (1) To prepare and administer the budget, and direct the execution thereof. (2)
To prepare a detailed tentative budget for every department, board, bureau, commission, agency,
office and institution of the state, including those which employ special or earmarked funds,
and all earmarked and special funds shall be included in the regular budget of each such department,
board, bureau, commission, agency, office or institution. (3) To make all budget allotments.
(4) To administer, enforce and supervise the execution of the budget, including the enforcement
of penalties for the violation of any law, rule or regulation with respect thereto. (5) To

Section 41-8A-2 Creation; composition; director generally. (a) There is hereby established
within the executive department of the State of Alabama, under the general authority, policy
direction and general control of the chief executive, the Governor of the State of Alabama,

Section 16-2-7 Appointment, compensation, benefits, etc., of assistant state superintendents
of education and division directors in State Department of Education; filling of vacancies.
(a) The positions of assistant state superintendents of education and of division directors
in the State Department of Education existing on August 23, 1976, shall continue to be covered
by the Alabama Merit System law in all matters except the number of positions and the method

Section 41-23-5 Establishment of divisions; appointment of division chiefs; oath of office;
restrictions on employment; directors of merged agencies abolished; purpose of chapter. (a)
The Director of the Department of Economic and Community Affairs, with the approval of the
Governor, may establish such division or divisions as may, in his discretion, be reasonably
necessary for the administration and enforcement of any law, rule or regulation with which
the department is charged or the performance of any of its functions or duties. Each division

Section 45-37-243.04 Bonds or securities. (a) Any person before engaging in selling any alcoholic,
spirituous, vinous, or fermented liquors in any county subject to this subpart shall file
with the judge of probate, license commissioner, director of county department of revenue,
