Section 9-17-82 Order requiring unit operation - When issued. The board shall issue an order requiring such unit operation if it finds that: (1) Unit operation of the field or of any pool or pools or of any portion of a pool or combinations thereof within the field is reasonably necessary to prevent waste, to increase the ultimate recovery of oil or gas, to avoid the drilling of unnecessary wells, to allow the drilling of wells at optimum geologic locations, and to protect the correlative rights of interested parties. (a) When reviewing an applicant for initial licensure under this article, the Board of Health may require a fingerprint-based state and national criminal background check through the Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency for purposes of determining the applicant's suitability for licensure.
