Section 34-14B-5 Registration or renewal fees. The applicant shall pay to the Building Commission
a registration or renewal fee of three hundred dollars ($300) per calendar year; provided,
however, that the registration or renewal fee may be adjusted by the Building Commission as
may be necessary to cover the costs and expenses of performing the duties of the Building
Commission as required by this chapter, it being intended that the registration and renewal
fees shall not produce a profit to the State of Alabama. Prior to any adjustment to the registration
or renewal fee, the Building Commission shall certify to the Legislative Council of the Legislature
that the adjustment is necessary in order to comply with the provisions of this chapter. All
moneys received by the Building Commission pursuant to this chapter shall be used to administer

Section 37-3-26 Collection of rates and charges. No common carrier by motor vehicle shall deliver
or relinquish possession at destination of any freight transported by it in intrastate commerce
until all tariff rates and charges thereon have been paid, except under such rules and regulations
